Millions of years later, the sun and moon fought again, sending the world into chaos. The guardians and the elements tried their hardest to protect the world but failed. The sun and moon collided again, and every mortal being on the earth was destroyed in a massive explosion. Fourteen days later, the dust settled and the phoenix and dragon were no where to be seen. The elements, overcome by grief, started to rebuild the world and bury the broken bones. As they worked across the land, their tears dropped into the ground, filling it with sorrow. After a year, all the bones were buried and the world had broken up into sections. With their work done, the elements waited for the phoenix and dragon to return. Finally the time came, and with a streak of red and blue, Aliya and Dralion arrived at the feet of the elements. They too started to cry, and as each of the tears they cried fell, an animal and human rose from that place. Shocked, they each travelled to a place in the world and cried on the graves of the fallen. One by one, human and animal alike rose from the earth, forming a bond with the elements. Soon the earth was full again, yet not exactly as before. As the humans rose, the spirits of some animals formed with them, creating two spirits in one body. As the world grew, the humans learnt how to harness that spirit and turn into the animal that possessed them. Thus created the animasapien race. The elements and guardians enjoyed the new race, and decided to take a human form as well, but because they wielded magic, they could take any form they wanted. Only a few million years ago, there was a battle on Sunhill and Moonridge, yet it wasn't between the sun and moon. Humans and animals took sides for the sun and moon, creating a war that raged on for years, killing millions of innocent people and forcing others to take sides. It was named the Moonshine Battle, from the cross of moonlight and sunshine. The guardians and elements couldn't hurt the world again, so they rallied a small army that would stop the fighting and bring peace again. Of the few, they all swore an oath to not choose a side and to protect the secret of the guardian's and elements' true forms. Each was given the magic of the elements and with it, slowed the fighting. But it wasn't enough. In that group, the phoenix and dragon chose two humans to represent them and to entrust them with their magic. Both were given a necklace that was encrusted with the elements' power. Together they ran into battle with the power to save - or destroy - mankind. As they arrived in the middle of the war, they tried to bring peace by creating shields to protect the innocent, but three things happened. The first was that they were caught in the crossfire and were killed by a rain of bullets and arrows. The second was that as they hit the ground, every weapon on the field stopped working and all the people and animals stopped fighting. The third thing still puzzles the greatest minds today. As the blood from the two chosen ones pooled around them, the blood from the fallen leaked to join the puddle, turning it into river, then lake, then sea of blood. As it seeped into the ground, it mixed with the magic tears and encased the bodies in a coffin of diamonds. Then the ground pulled them into the earth, burying the bodies and surrounding the area with a circle of flowers and two stone statues of the fallen heroes. As they people watched in awe, the elements and guardians stepped forward and bowed their heads to the graves. Everyone on the battlefield bowed as well, as they realized that the sun and moon were equal. The dragon and phoenix lifted their heads and cast a ward around the area so that anyone who would step past the field of flowers were to remember the heroes. Of course, the heroes work was not in vain, because as the two sides bowed their head, peace flooded over them and the war ended. Ever since then, both sides have lived together in harmony, and the guardians and elements had a perfect world once more.
